This is a Super Granola! I made a half batch and used everything--except sunflower seeds. I diced the apricots and added banana chips. As Leah mentioned, it is great over vanilla yogurt. I put the recipe through a calorie calculator and found that a 1/4 cup has a "gracious plenty" of calories. (I won't spoil the fun with telling you the calorie count.) Use sparingly and savor every oat crumb! <br>Signed--Leah's Mom

I'm so glad you liked it! I just had to run out and grab more ingredients so that I can make another batch tomorrow, that's how fast I plowed through mine. I like it straight from the jar too ... but my favorite way is over vanilla yogurt. Good call on the oat bran, I'll try that when I run out of wheat germ! :-)

I absolutely loved this granola. I omitted the almonds, sunflower seeds, raisins, and apricots and added dried bananas. I had oat bran at home, so I used that instead of the wheat germ and it turned out great! After it cooled, I had to make sure it was safe for the boys to eat so I had some over yogurt. Yum, yum, yum! I'm going to have to hide this though, because the husband was eating it by the handful when he got home from work!
