Enjoy Sendik’s All Week!
Archived recipes you can make with this week’s sale items
Racking your brain for dinner ideas, but coming up empty? Don’t wait until you get to the Sendik’s parking lot to make up your mind or your shopping list. Here are a few suggestions to take the guess work out of what to make this week.
For a quick meatless supper, try one of my trusty standby’s: Angel Hair Pasta with Broccoli and Fresh Herbs. I’ve served this as both a main dish and as a side (it’s great alongside seared salmon or roasted chicken). It’s a DamFam favorite. Pick up a couple of the Ecce Panis Demi Baguettes (love these!) to serve alongside. Sale ingredients: Organic Broccoli, RP’s Pasta (this is a fresh pasta; find it in the dairy section), Ecce Panis Demi Baguettes.

The punks are practically doing cartwheels over the four inches of snow that’s in the forecast for Thursday. I’m just excited because snow = soup weather (leave it to me to tie a weather disturbance back to food). I’ll be making Ann’s Creamy Carrot Soup to celebrate the return (arrival?) of winter. Sale ingredients: Jumbo Carrots, Rachael Ray All Natural Stock.
Lastly, I’m thinking ahead to the Packer game on Sunday afternoon, which is on at 3:30 and I don’t want to be watching it in the kitchen while the Husband watches in the family room. Not because I can’t stand to be apart from him. It’s because the kitchen TV runs about five seconds ahead of the one in the family room and he gets really irritated with me if I’m screaming at the TV before he knows what’s happened. Sometimes he even makes me watch it with the sound off. These Beef Soft Tacos will help avoid this issue altogether! I’ll put them on the stove just before kickoff, then I’ll plop down on the couch for the game, and the Husband and I can scream at the TV together in harmony. Sale ingredients: Sendik’s Natural Black Angus Boneless Chuck Roasts, Rachael Ray Beef Broth, Mrs. Renfro’s Salsa, Shurfresh Shredded Cheese, Organic Avocados, Head Lettuce.
Ingredients on sale January 11, 2012 – January 17, 2012 or while supplies last.
