Hi again, and welcome to this week’s edition of Enjoy Sendik’s All Week. Here’s what the DamFam will be dining on over the next few days. If you haven’t tried these recipes before, you should. After all, they’re kid tested and mom approved. They’ll make you happy. And they’ll help you solve the age old question of ”what in the heck should I make for dinner tonight?”
Let’s talk about Friday first: don’t go stand in line at a crowded restaurant for Fish Fry tomorrow night – dine at home for much less dough and far less aggravation. Use the sale Sendik’s Wild Caught Premium Cod Fillets and Jumbo Idaho Potatoes to make this yummy and waaaaaaay easy Weeknight Fish & Chips, it’s a total winner, and you won’t be wait listed for a table.
If fish fry isn’t your thing, pick up a loaf or two of sale Sendik’s Italian Bread and a couple of bags of Sargento Shredded Cheese and whip up my favorite French (in this case Italian) Bread Pizzas. Put out a bunch of different toppings and let your kids (or guests) have at it. I adore these. I’m making them tonight in fact.
Finally, I’m going to make a double batch of Turkey Bolognese this weekend and stash half in the freezer for later use. Rave reviews all around when this is served guys, no joke – it’s so good and you really can’t get much more frugal than ground turkey. I’ll put it over gnocchi but it’s equally good over pasta (Creamette Brand is on sale). Also look for sale Red Gold Tomatoes.
